FINAL TOUCHES

POLISHED UP
Nothing says beach babe like a punchy pedicure. And when it comes to mani/pedi's. Celebrity manicurist, Elle, is talented to polishes the pinkies of celebrities like J.Lo and go by one name only. (So you know she's gotta be good.) Here, Elle's rules of the road when it comes to your toes.

•Cut toenails straight across and then file down the edges and sides.

•Don't buff! It may look pretty and feel smooth but it's the worst thing you can do for your nails–it makes them weak and can cause them to split.

•Push cuticles down and rub on a cuticle remover. Don't cut anything on your own–digging into your cuticles can be painful and cause more trouble than it's worth.

•Make sure your nails are completely clean and dry before applying a base coat and polish. Your pedicure will last ten times longer.

•Don't leave it til the last minute–give yourself a pedicure a few days before you go to the beach. And put on an AHA–spiked foot cream every night to soften rough spots.
